This non-exempt position involves working daytime shifts and primarily supports the curbside pickup operations. The Curbside Runner is responsible for assisting the curbside service teams by performing various supplementary tasks that ensure a smooth and efficient customer experience. These tasks include transporting customer orders from the command center to the pickup lane, ensuring orders are stored and handled at the proper temperature, and providing friendly, attentive customer service in all interactions.\n\nThe Aisles Online Curbside Runner reports to multiple leaders, including the Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of eCommerce, Perishables, Store Operations, Home Health and Wellness, as well as the Aisles Online Manager and Service Managers. Although the position does not have supervisory responsibilities, it plays a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This role demands a high level of physical activity, requiring the ability to lift or carry products up to 50 pounds and perform tasks such as stooping, kneeling, reaching, and other repetitive motions. The candidate must also be adept at using mobile device technology and troubleshooting any related issues that arise during the workday.\n\nAdditionally, the position requires a committed and positive attitude that aligns with Hy-Vee's mission and values, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced retail environment. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- proficient usage of mobile device technology, and technology troubleshooting
- ability to see detail at near range with or without correction
- physically able to perform medium work including occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting/carrying of objects of no more than 25 pounds
- able to perform physical activities such as lifting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
- possess the ability to compose original correspondence, follow technical manuals, evaluate technical data, advise people, interview to obtain basic information, guide people to provide basic direction and have increased contact with people

Job Duties
- provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
- smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee’s designated department or elsewhere in the store
- makes an effort to learn customers’ names and to address them by name whenever possible
- assists customers by escorting them to the products they’re looking for, securing products that are out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests, performing other tasks in every way possible to enhance the shopping experience
- transports totes from command center to pickup lane
- adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines
- reports to work when scheduled and on time
- upon gathering orders, place in storage at proper temperature and promptly retrieve from storage prior to customer’s arrival
- ensures products maintain proper temperature through the entire process
- gathers and stages orders in holding area for pick-up
- performs other job-related duties and special projects as required
