Job Description
Signature Aviation is a globally recognized leader in private aviation services, operating over 225 locations worldwide. As the largest network of private aviation terminals, Signature Aviation specializes in delivering safe, convenient, and elevated experiences to their guests, setting a high standard in the aviation and hospitality industries. With a dedication to service excellence and employee well-being, the company fosters a work environment that is both professional and welcoming. Signature Aviation is proud to be a certified Great Place to Work™, reflecting its commitment to fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture. The company’s team of nearly 6,000 aviation experts and enthusiasts share a passion for private air travel and hospitality, ensuring every guest experience is exceptional. The organization also emphasizes corporate social responsibility, engaging in community volunteering, empowering future aviation professionals, and supporting veterans, thereby enriching the communities they serve.
The role of the Airside Experience Specialist is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of service and safety at Signature Aviation’s private aviation terminals (PAT). This position involves a variety of critical duties that support the safe and efficient provision of services to general aviation aircraft, crew, and guests. The Airside Experience Specialist operates ground service equipment and applies an in-depth understanding of company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to deliver prompt, efficient, and exceptional services within the PAT environment. Working this role requires flexibility with schedules, including night shifts, holidays, and weekends, while performing tasks in diverse weather and environmental conditions such as precipitation, extreme temperatures, operational noise, and proximity to jet engine exhausts.
In this safety-sensitive role, specialists must work closely with other team members, guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crewmembers to coordinate and provide various ground services, including fueling, de-icing, lavatory servicing, ground power and potable water supply, marshalling aircraft, wing walking, catering delivery, towing, and parking. The job entails physically demanding tasks, including the operation of heavy ground support equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing units, stair trucks, and tugs, as well as the handling, loading, and unloading of luggage and cargo.
Additionally, the Airside Experience Specialist is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure ramp environment, enforcing security protocols mandated by both Signature Aviation and airport authorities, and adhering strictly to all operational and safety requirements. This includes performing and documenting fueling processes with attention to fuel quality control and inventory management. A critical component of the role is the proactive identification and reporting of safety concerns, suspension of unsafe work practices, and adherence to emergency response procedures. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced settings, and a dedication to providing outstanding guest service marked by professionalism, attentiveness, and a helpful attitude at all times.
Overall, the Airside Experience Specialist is essential in sustaining Signature Aviation’s reputation for operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and safety. By joining the company, candidates will have access to a broad spectrum of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and ongoing training and development programs that support both personal and professional growth within a dynamic and supportive company culture.
