The Airside Experience Specialist role at Signature Aviation is pivotal to the smooth operation and guest satisfaction in private aviation terminals. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the safe and efficient provision of ground services to general aviation aircraft, crew, and guests. The specialist routinely operates ground service equipment and adheres strictly to established company policies and procedures. Working as part of a team, the Airside Experience Specialist coordinates critical airside activities such as fueling, de-icing, lavatory services, ground power, potable water supply, parking, marshalling, wing walking, catering delivery, and aircraft towing. The role demands flexibility as specialists work varied schedules that include nights, weekends, and holidays, while performing tasks in diverse weather and environmental conditions, often in proximity to aircraft engines and moving planes.
This position requires proactive preparation for aircraft arrivals and departures, meticulous attention to safety, and immediate communication of any unsafe conditions to management. The specialist must maintain a clean and secure ramp area while ensuring that all fuel handling and inventory processes are conducted with accuracy and safety. The ability to stop work in the event of hazardous conditions and to follow emergency protocols is essential for the safety of both personnel and assets. Familiarity with security protocols and compliance with airport and company security standards is mandatory. The Airside Experience Specialist also regularly interacts with guests, vendors, and crew, providing exceptional customer service with a positive, helpful attitude. - ability to exercise good judgment and follow directions
- preferred experience or training in aviation or customer service
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- minimum of 18 years of age
- ability to pass company background checks including criminal and motor vehicle, drug tests, and airport background check requirements
- legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment
- excellent vision and coordination, ability to pass a color vision test
- possession of a valid state driver’s license, commercial driver’s license (CDL) required in some locations
- ability to exercise good judgment and follow directions from supervisor and management
- preferred three to six months experience and/or training in aviation, customer service or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
- excellent guest service skills with an energetic, outgoing and guest-obsessed personality
- ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals in English
- clear communication skills in English
- ability to perform simple arithmetic

Job Duties
- Work as part of a team to conduct airside operations safely and efficiently in accordance with established policies and standard operating procedures
- collaborate, cooperate, and work closely with all team members, guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crewmembers to ensure service needs are met including fueling, de-icing, lavatory, ground power and potable water services, parking, marshalling, wing walking, delivering catering and towing
- proactively prepare for arriving and departing aircraft, identify and perform open job tasks, and immediately speak up and/or point out observed safety concerns
- operate and drive ground service equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, stair trucks
- load and unload luggage and other cargo into/out of aircraft and from/into the PAT, guest vehicle, or other mode of transportation
- provide professional and friendly guest service while exhibiting a positive and helpful attitude
- offer safe, convenient, and courteous transportation when driving shuttle vehicle to transport guests, luggage and cargo
- maintain safe, clean, and secure ramps and operations
- fuel handling including fuel quality control, fuel receipt, inventory and maintaining accurate related documentation
- understand, comply with, and enforce all operational, safety, and guest service requirements
- stop work when an unsafe condition or act is likely to cause harm and report concerns
- follow emergency response procedures during critical events
- understand, comply with, and enforce all security protocols
- create accurate records pertaining to time worked and services performed
