The Parking Spot is a leading near-airport parking company in the United States with over 25 years of operational excellence. With a robust presence of more than 40 locations nationwide and a dedicated team of over 2,000 employees, The Parking Spot prides itself on delivering exceptional customer service and convenience to travelers. Committed to empowering its workforce, the company offers an Employee Ownership Program, granting every team member a direct financial stake in the company's sustained success. This initiative fosters a culture of ownership, accountability, and teamwork, contributing to the company’s reputation as a premier parking service provider in the travel industry.
The company is currently seeking dedicated individuals for the full-time role of Valet, covering all shifts. Valets at The Parking Spot are vital frontline team members who provide outstanding valet parking services and personalized attention to guests and their vehicles. The role is designed for those passionate about excellent customer service, who enjoy working as part of a team and working in an active, fast-paced environment. Valets serve as the face of the company, greeting customers warmly, assisting with luggage, and ensuring the safe and efficient handling of vehicles.
This role offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $16 with regular bonus opportunities. Valets benefit from consistent schedules, potential instant job offers for standout candidates, and both cash and mobile tipping options. Additionally, eligible employees can participate in comprehensive medical, vision, and dental plans, along with 401(k) retirement savings options. Paid time off, vacation pay, and paid holidays are also available to eligible team members, further enhancing the compensation package. Training and professional development are emphasized to support career growth within the company.
The role of Valet involves key responsibilities such as greeting guests in a professional and friendly manner, accurately managing valet ticket processes, operating and parking vehicles safely, inventory management of vehicles, and cooperating with team members to provide seamless customer service. Valets are also expected to report any vehicle or property damage immediately and assist with guest luggage as needed. Flexibility is encouraged, with opportunities for cross-training in other frontline positions and performing additional duties as directed by management.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have prior experience in valet services, driving, attendant roles, or customer service. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory, along with the ability to operate vehicles with manual transmissions. Strong English language proficiency is necessary to communicate effectively, follow traffic signs, complete reports, and comply with DOT regulations. The physical demands include the ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodations.
The Parking Spot is devoted to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where all employees, partners, and customers are valued and supported. The company actively rejects all forms of discrimination and racism and is committed to creating a welcoming environment that embraces individuals from diverse backgrounds. This commitment enhances the company culture by ensuring that all voices are heard and that equal opportunities are provided to all with an emphasis on ongoing learning and growth.
