The company prides itself on providing strategic advice and operational excellence that helps airports and related stakeholders achieve seamless, safe, and efficient functioning. Headquartered with operations focused on major airports, Jacobsen|Daniels has built a reputation as a trusted partner in the dynamic aviation industry through its commitment to quality service and expert guidance.

Jacobsen|Daniels is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Manager for a Terminal Consortium located in the Southeastern United States. This full-time exempt position offers a competitive salary range of $125,000 to $140,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. As the General Manager, you will hold a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of shared aeronautical equipment and service operations at major airports. This includes managing vendor contracts, leading consortium budgets, and negotiating with commercial carriers and various airport stakeholders to ensure cost-effective and smooth daily operations.

The General Manager will be the ultimate authority on the day-to-day delivery of services provided by the terminal consortium. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering close working relationships with airport authorities, airline representatives, tenants, and government officials. Your role will involve documenting and resolving operational issues in a timely manner, while maintaining compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements. Acting as a liaison between multiple stakeholders, you will ensure effective communication across departments, balancing operational needs with financial and safety considerations.

This role demands comprehensive expertise in terminal management, encompassing operations, maintenance, environment, finance, human resources, and public relations. The ideal candidate must possess demonstrated experience interfacing with numerous government agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security, TSA, FAA, USDA, and others. Strong financial acumen including the ability to read and interpret budgets, financial statements, and profit and loss reports is essential. The ability to write business correspondence, reports, and procedure manuals with precision and clarity is expected, along with excellence in public speaking and communication within diverse executive and client groups.

Candidates must bring at least 15 years of proven leadership in the aviation industry, spearheading strategic growth initiatives and operational excellence. A bachelor’s degree is required, and professional certification in a relevant area is considered a plus. Experience managing FAA Part 139 Certified Airports or equivalent airport systems with more than 3 million annual enplanements is highly preferred. Fluency in Spanish is desirable to enhance communication in a multi-cultural environment. The ability to pass TSA security clearances and criminal background checks and work within secure airport areas is mandatory.

Joining Jacobsen|Daniels as the General Manager offers a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic consortium within a leading aviation consulting organization. The position reports directly to the Implementation Services Division Leader and entails supervisory responsibilities over a dedicated team. Jacobsen|Daniels is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. This role requires in-person presence at the work location, providing direct engagement with consortium operations and stakeholders.

In summary, the General Manager will be at the forefront of aviation terminal management innovation, driving operational success and enhancing customer service excellence. The successful candidate will be a seasoned aviation professional with robust management capabilities, exceptional communication skills, an analytical mindset, and a passion for advancing the airport travel experience.
