The company’s extensive portfolio spans janitorial services, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical services, landscape and turf management, and mission-critical solutions. ABM proudly serves a diverse range of industries including commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, entertainment venues, and more. Today, ABM supports over 20,000 clients globally through more than 100,000 team members across 350 offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, and other international locations.
ABM is committed to equal opportunity employment and actively supports veterans and individuals with disabilities by providing accessible hiring processes and reasonable accommodations. The company also participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security E-Verify program, underscoring its dedication to lawful and ethical employment practices.
The Airport Shuttle Driver Trainer role at ABM is a full-time, graveyard shift position that offers an hourly pay rate of $33.35. This critical role is responsible for onboarding, training, and evaluating shuttle drivers working within the airport environment to ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency. The position requires a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and is ideal for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce, particularly those with military experience, as the company actively encourages veterans to apply.
As an Airport Shuttle Driver Trainer, you will conduct comprehensive training programs covering safe driving techniques, defensive driving, and airport-specific operating procedures. You will perform behind-the-wheel training, ride-along evaluations, and route familiarizations, ensuring that drivers meet all relevant regulatory and company standards, including those set by the TSA and DOT. Customer service excellence and professional conduct are key focus areas, with the trainer providing instruction that promotes passenger safety and the highest level of professionalism.
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing drivers’ performance, documenting training results, identifying gaps in knowledge or skills, and recommending corrective actions or refresher programs. Keeping detailed and accurate training records and certification documentation is essential. Additionally, the role involves supporting accident investigations by conducting retraining when necessary and collaborating closely with Operations and Safety teams to reinforce safety initiatives and stay up to date with any changes in airport rules, shuttle routes, or operational procedures.
The position offers an excellent opportunity to impact operations directly by ensuring the shuttle driving team is competent, confident, and compliant with all required standards. Working a graveyard shift from 9:00 pm to 5:30 am including weekends, with flexibility for other shifts, the role demands strong communication, coaching abilities, and the proficiency to use basic computer systems for effective documentation and reporting. ABM’s commitment to employee growth and safety makes this a fulfilling career path for those dedicated to operational excellence and superior customer service in a dynamic airport setting.
