The company's comprehensive portfolio of services spans janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical systems, landscape and turf management, as well as mission-critical solutions. ABM's commitment to innovation and operational excellence is underscored by its impressive annualized revenue nearing $8 billion, reflecting a deep-rooted dedication to improving and maintaining the spaces that matter most.
The Airport Shuttle Driver Trainer position at ABM is a vital role designed to uphold safety, compliance, and service excellence within the airport transportation environment. The core responsibility is to onboard, train, and evaluate shuttle drivers to ensure that they meet stringent company, airport, and regulatory standards. This role demands a seasoned professional who can deliver comprehensive training in safe driving practices, including defensive driving techniques and strict adherence to airport operating procedures. The trainer will conduct behind-the-wheel training sessions, ride-along evaluations, and route familiarization to ensure drivers are fully equipped for their duties.
In this role, the trainer plays a critical part in sustaining high standards by enforcing compliance with all pertinent airport regulations, TSA requirements, DOT standards where applicable, and internal company policies. Furthermore, delivering instruction in excellent customer service, passenger safety, and professional behavior is fundamental to the role, ensuring that every shuttle driver represents ABM's commitment to quality and professionalism.
The position offers an hourly wage of $33.35 with a full-time schedule primarily on the graveyard shift from 9:00 pm to 5:30 am, including weekends, with flexibility for other shifts as required. This role is perfectly suited for individuals either entering the workforce or returning to it, especially those with limited prior experience or education but who possess a dedication to learning and excellence. ABM is a military and veteran-friendly employer, encouraging those with military backgrounds to apply, supported by a comprehensive benefits package further enhancing employee satisfaction and security.
The Airport Shuttle Driver Trainer will also handle driver performance assessments, maintain precise training records, and certification documentation, and support accident investigations through appropriate retraining. Collaboration with Operations and Safety teams is essential to reinforcing safety initiatives and staying current with evolving airport rules, shuttle routes, and operational changes. Strong communication, coaching skills, and proficiency with basic computer systems are critical for success in this role. ABM’s commitment to equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion further ensures a supportive work environment for all team members.
