As a company dedicated to elevating the standards of private and public air travel, JSX operates with a commitment to providing a joyful, simple travel experience for every customer, in every interaction, every day. This ethos is embedded deeply in the company culture, which values positivity, expertise, integrity, adaptability, and engagement. JSX prides itself on being the world’s most loved air carrier by delivering superior results to all stakeholders including travelers, employees, and business partners. The company is committed to inclusivity and diversity, celebrating the varied backgrounds of its employees to create an enriching work environment. JSX offers competitive compensation starting at $19.25 per hour, along with an environment that embraces growth, safety, and professionalism.
This role is for a Customer Service Crewmember stationed at a JSX lounge or facility, who acts as the first point of contact for customers upon arrival. The position entails providing an effortless and seamless check-in experience, ensuring that customers feel welcomed and well-attended. Attention to detail is critical as the crewmember is responsible for verifying that all travel documents have been properly vetted, baggage has been screened according to security standards, and that customers are fit to fly. Additionally, the environment of the lounge must be maintained impeccably with all amenities fully stocked and in excellent condition.
The position also includes opportunities for valet duties such as driving, parking, and retrieving customer vehicles, as well as assisting customers in and out of vehicles during arrivals and departures. The ability to perform under time pressure is essential because on-time performance is key in the aviation industry. Crewmembers must strictly adhere to attendance, appearance, and safety standards to ensure an optimal customer experience. The role requires readiness to act as ground security coordinators trained in operational safety, monitoring the environment, and communicating any safety concerns quickly to leadership. Crewmembers must remain vigilant and comply with updated safety policies, regulations from the Department of Transportation (DOT), and local guidelines.
JSX’s core culture revolves around a strong commitment to safety and security along with an attitude that fosters problem-solving and adaptability. Employees are expected to be experts in their roles, continually seeking to learn and improve. The airline encourages a customer-first mindset, treating every traveler, colleague, or partner with respect and care. The ability to remain calm and professional under stressful situations, combined with a polished communication style both verbally and visually, forms the foundation for success in this role.
Applicants should be prepared for flexible schedules including early mornings, late nights, holidays, and weekends. The role includes physical activities such as lifting over 75 pounds, bending, reaching, standing for prolonged periods, climbing stairs, and walking long distances. Compliance with federal aviation security requirements is mandatory, and candidates must be U.S. citizens or nationals. Drug and alcohol screenings in accordance with DOT and FAA guidelines will be conducted routinely. The working environment involves both indoor and outdoor conditions, often exposed to varying weather elements.
JSX is an equal opportunity employer that encourages candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply. The company promotes a collaborative and inclusive workplace where every employee can thrive while contributing to the shared mission of redefining air travel.
