The Crewmember role at JSX is vital as these employees are often the first point of contact for passengers arriving at the station. This position is primarily focused on delivering an effortless and seamless check-in experience, ensuring that every customer interaction reflects JSX's commitment to exceptional service. Responsibilities include verifying all travel documents, screening baggage, and confirming that customers meet the necessary health and safety standards to fly. Crew members must also maintain the lounge area to be fully stocked with amenities and in excellent condition at all times, enhancing the overall guest experience. Additionally, when assigned, crew members take on valet duties involving driving, parking, and retrieving customer vehicles as well as assisting customers during their arrival and departure. The role requires a strict adherence to punctuality and appearance standards, emphasizing the importance of timely performance and professionalism. Safety and security are paramount, and all crewmembers are trained as Ground Security Coordinators (GSC), responsible for monitoring operational environments to detect and respond to any safety concerns. They must remain vigilant, comply with updates to policies, and proactively manage personal readiness to perform safety-sensitive duties. This includes managing fatigue and stress and adhering to Department of Transportation requirements regarding drug and alcohol use. The role demands flexibility, requiring the ability to work various shifts including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Physically, the job involves intermittent activity such as bending, reaching, lifting up to 75 pounds, and standing or walking for extended periods, often in varying weather conditions. Job Requirements

  • Be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national in compliance with federal aviation security requirements
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to perform intermittent physical activities such as bending, reaching, climbing stairs, standing and walking long distances
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Willingness to participate in initial and random drug and alcohol screenings according to DOT and FAA guidelines
  • Must be able to travel often

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to remain professional, logical and level headed in stressful situations
  • Vigilant and aware of surroundings to act upon anything unsafe
  • Strong time management skills with calm urgency
  • Excellent verbal and visual communication skills
  • Knowledge of computer systems such as Google Business and Microsoft Office
  • Computer savvy
