The role of the Airport Services Concierge (ASC) at JSX is pivotal as these team members are among the first individuals customers encounter upon arrival at the station. The primary responsibility is to provide a seamless and effortless check-in experience, ensuring the lounge is impeccably maintained and fully stocked with all necessary amenities. Attention to detail is critical in this position, requiring the concierge to verify proper documentation, ensure baggage has been screened appropriately, and confirm that customers are fit to fly. Additionally, when assigned, the concierge may perform valet duties, which include driving, parking, retrieving vehicles, and assisting customers with vehicle entry and exit during arrivals and departures.

The role demands a strong adherence to time management and performance standards, with strict compliance required for attendance and appearance. This position also involves significant physical activity, such as bending, reaching, and standing for prolonged periods, in addition to occasional lifting of heavy items over 75 pounds. Flexibility in working hours is essential, with shifts covering early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Airport Services Concierges at JSX receive comprehensive training as Ground Security Coordinators (GSC), equipping them to monitor the operational environment and respond promptly to any safety concerns. They are responsible for enforcing all security protocols, including passenger and baggage screening, while ensuring compliance with updated safety procedures, policies, and federal regulations.

This role also emphasizes the importance of personal readiness to perform safety-sensitive duties, requiring the identification and management of factors such as fatigue or stress that might affect job performance. Candidates must comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements for drug and alcohol testing and maintain professionalism under pressure, demonstrating vigilance and a proactive approach to safety.

Job Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship or U.S. national status
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Capable of intermittent physical activities including bending, reaching, lifting, climbing stairs, and standing for long periods
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Compliance with FAA and DOT drug and alcohol screening guidelines
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to remain professional and calm in stressful situations
  • Vigilance and awareness of surroundings for safety
  • Strong timeline management and sense of urgency
  • Articulate and polished communication skills
  • Knowledge of Google Business and Microsoft Office
  • Computer savvy

Job Duties
