We are currently hiring Rental Agents for our busy Provo Airport and American Fork locations. As a Rental Counter Agent, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and sales support to travelers looking to rent vehicles. This position involves assisting customers through every step of the rental process, ensuring a smooth, friendly, and efficient experience. Working in a fast-paced environment, your responsibilities will include greeting customers warmly, answering inquiries, and helping them select the right vehicle for their needs. You will also promote additional services and upgrades, preparing rental contracts, and ensuring full compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

The role demands strong attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and exceptional communication skills to handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally and effectively. You will be responsible for conducting vehicle inspections before and after rentals to document any existing damage and ensure cleanliness and readiness of the vehicles for the next customer. Additionally, providing knowledgeable information about vehicle options, features, and pricing to customers is essential to enhance their rental experience.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must work weekends including Sundays
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently
  • Valid driver’s license with a good clean driving record no more than 2 incidents or accidents in last 3 years
  • If under 21 must have clean driving record
  • Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, or within the car rental industry is ideal
  • Hiring contingent on passing a complete background check and drug screen

Job Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with the car rental process from start to finish
  • Advise customers on protection plans, product services, and additional services to enhance the customer experience
  • Prepare rental contracts, verify customer information, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, or issues efficiently and professionally
  • Conduct vehicle inspections before and after rentals, documenting any existing damage and ensuring vehicles are clean and ready for the next customer
  • Provide customers with information on vehicle options, features, and pricing
  • Keep accurate records of transactions, inventory, and customer interactions
