Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Must be able to attain and maintain an airport ID badge
- Minimum one year experience as a maintenance mechanic or in an industrial environment
- Proven welding experience
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Proven experience as a welder with relevant work experience
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, specifically with conveyor and control systems
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and system software such as Siemens, Allen Bradley PLC systems, and WPS
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and electromechanical devices up to 480 volts including motors, DC clutches, switches, panels, controls
- Knowledge of DC drives and welding techniques including fillet weld, butt weld, weld joints, weld types, weld edges, welding groove, stringer and weaving beads, torch angle, forehand and backhand
- Experience in repair of special purpose equipment using machines - semi-automatic, automatic or manual tools like saws, squares, calipers
- Experience working on passenger boarding bridges (PBB)
Job Duties
- Maintain superior customer service and safe working practice at all times
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and electrical equipment such as motors, electrical circuits, SICK ATR systems, baggage handling equipment, and conveyor systems in accordance with diagrams, electrical drawings, operational manuals, and manufacturer's specifications using hand tools and precision measuring and testing instruments
- Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems
- Communicate with various parties on the work performed and present status of specialty systems
- Analyze root causes of electrical failures and propose remedy and resolution as well as continuous monitoring for ways to improve and optimize the system
- Interpret schematics and engineering drawings in reference to layout, location, and operation of the systems
- React to call outs from the Control Room Operator or manager executing service calls CM, PM, and EM
- Perform preventive maintenance including inspection, adjustment, cleaning, replacement, and prepare follow-up corrective maintenance work orders if needed
