Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local city and state regulations, if applicable
- ability to walk or stand for extended periods
- ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
- capable of using hands to finger, handle, feel, or reach
- must attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- ability to perform repetitive motions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- knowledge of customer service principles
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- if applicable, must comply with local age requirements to serve alcohol
- may require TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification
- ability to manage multiple tasks and provide efficient service
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests, present menus, and introduce specials or menu changes
- provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine, and answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
- accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen, confirm orders with guests, and process them in the correct sequence
- check all items for quality and completeness, ensuring that presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
- monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and address concerns or complaints with professionalism
- perform significant walking or other means of mobility
- maintain the ability to walk or stand for extended periods exceeding 8 hours during shifts
