The Airport Lounge Wait Staff position at Sodexo demands individuals who are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. As a wait staff member, you will be the face of the Delta Sky Club, greeting guests and providing them with attentive and personalized service. The role involves serving a variety of freshly prepared entrées, appetizers, desserts, and beverages, adhering to Sodexo’s high standards for food quality, presentation, and hygiene. You will help create a welcoming atmosphere by not only understanding and communicating menu options, including allergen information and preparation methods, but also by anticipating and responding promptly to guest needs and concerns.

The capacity to lift and carry items safely up to 35 to 50 pounds is necessary, along with the ability to perform repetitive motions and maintain focus during busy service hours. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • Must comply with all state-specific alcohol training requirements if applicable
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, sometimes exceeding 8 hours
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
  • Employee must be able to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or reach
  • Ability to taste and smell
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • Ability to understand and communicate menu details clearly
  • Capable of standing or walking for extended periods
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be at or over the minimum legal age to serve alcohol if applicable
  • Willingness to obtain TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification if required
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, reaching, and repetitive motions

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests, present menus, and introduce specials or menu changes
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine, and answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
  • Accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen, confirm orders with guests, and process them in the correct sequence
  • Check all items for quality and completeness, ensuring that presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
  • Monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and address concerns or complaints with professionalism
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
