Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • Must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local regulations if applicable
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks
  • Punctuality and reliable attendance
  • Ability to handle food safely and hygienically
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • Knowledge of menu items, allergens, and preparation techniques
  • Ability to provide friendly and attentive customer service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • If applicable, must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local city and state regulations
  • Valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification preferred
  • Ability to adhere to all state-specific alcohol training requirements

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests, present menus, and introduce specials or menu changes
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine, and answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
  • Accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen, confirm orders with guests, and process them in the correct sequence
  • Check all items for quality and completeness, ensuring that presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
  • Monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and address concerns or complaints with professionalism
  • Perform significant walking or other means of mobility as required
  • Maintain ability to walk or stand for extended periods, throughout shifts which may exceed 8 hours
  • Reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds
  • Use hands to finger, handle, feel or reach with hands and arms
  • Taste and smell food items to ensure quality
  • Perform repetitive motions related to wait staff duties
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned, differing among accounts depending on business necessities and client requirements
