Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- Must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local regulations if applicable
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally 50 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks
- Punctuality and reliable attendance
- Ability to handle food safely and hygienically
- Authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- Knowledge of menu items, allergens, and preparation techniques
- Ability to provide friendly and attentive customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- If applicable, must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local city and state regulations
- Valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification preferred
- Ability to adhere to all state-specific alcohol training requirements
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests, present menus, and introduce specials or menu changes
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine, and answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
- Accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen, confirm orders with guests, and process them in the correct sequence
- Check all items for quality and completeness, ensuring that presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
- Monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and address concerns or complaints with professionalism
- Perform significant walking or other means of mobility as required
- Maintain ability to walk or stand for extended periods, throughout shifts which may exceed 8 hours
- Reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds
- Use hands to finger, handle, feel or reach with hands and arms
- Taste and smell food items to ensure quality
- Perform repetitive motions related to wait staff duties
- Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned, differing among accounts depending on business necessities and client requirements
