Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol according to local regulations if applicable
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, sometimes exceeding 8 hours
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to taste and smell
- Ability to perform repetitive motions
- Punctuality and reliable attendance for scheduled shifts
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- Valid age to serve alcohol based on local city and state regulations if applicable
- Certification such as TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification may be required and must comply with state-specific alcohol training requirements
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests, present menus, and introduce specials or menu changes
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine, and answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
- Accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen, confirm orders with guests, and process them in the correct sequence
- Check all items for quality and completeness, ensuring that presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
- Monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and address concerns or complaints with professionalism
- Perform significant walking or other means of mobility throughout the shift
- Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
