Job Description

Sodexo is a global leader in quality of life services, dedicated to making everyday experiences better through innovative food service, catering, facilities management, and integrated solutions. Operating in numerous countries worldwide, Sodexo partners with various clients to create memorable and enriching experiences for both customers and employees. At Sodexo, inclusivity, respect, and fairness are core values, fostering a workplace where all individuals can thrive and feel valued. The company’s commitment to equal employment opportunities and diversity ensures that every employee’s voice is heard and their contribution appreciated. Sodexo’s reputation for delivering high standards of service combined with its dynamic, supportive culture make it a preferred employer in the service industry.

This position is for Airport Lounge Wait Staff within the UNITED CLUB at Minneapolis-Saint Paul (MSP) airport. This part-time role offers a pay rate of $16.5 per hour and entails working afternoon and evening shifts on variable days, with more specific scheduling details provided during the interview process. As a Wait Staff member, you will be responsible for delivering exemplary, attentive service to travelers, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable airport lounge experience. Your duties involve serving a diverse menu of fresh entrees, appetizers, desserts, and beverages with professionalism and a friendly demeanor. The role places great emphasis on maintaining quality and presentation standards for all served items, actively monitoring guest satisfaction, responding promptly to requests, and handling any concerns with professionalism. Because this is an active, physically engaging position, it requires the ability to walk or stand for extended shifts that may exceed eight hours, as well as the capability to lift and move weights up to 50 pounds. Repetitive motions and manual handling are part of the daily responsibilities.

Sodexo values employees who show commitment and punctuality by attending scheduled shifts regularly and on time. While prior experience is preferred, individuals new to the hospitality or foodservice industry are welcome, provided they meet the minimum age requirements for alcohol service and hold any necessary certifications such as TIPS or TEAM where applicable. This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth through ongoing training and career advancement initiatives within the organization.

Employees in this position benefit from a flexible and supportive work environment designed to accommodate key life events and personal needs. Sodexo’s full benefits package enhances employee well-being and includes paid time off, holidays, medical coverage, dental, vision, 401k plans, tuition reimbursement, and employee discount programs. Some locations provide additional benefits such as free meals during shifts, uniforms, safety shoes, and transportation or parking support.

Overall, this role is ideal for individuals seeking a rewarding part-time position in a vibrant airport lounge setting, where exceptional customer service skills, attentiveness, and a positive attitude will contribute to enhancing the traveler experience. Sodexo’s commitment to creating a better everyday for everyone aligns with delivering quality service that makes guests feel welcome and valued.
