The Airport Lounge Lead Cook position at Sodexo, specifically based within the United Club at LAS (Las Vegas McCarran International Airport), offers a dynamic part-time employment opportunity with a straightforward pay rate of $19.28 per hour. This role is critical in maintaining the high standards of the United Club lounge experience by preparing and serving quality food offerings to travelers. The position involves varying shifts and requires open availability to accommodate the lounge's operational demands.
In this lead cook role, you will play a central part in the kitchen team, responsible for preparing a range of nutritious, well-presented dishes across several meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. The Lead Cook position demands a balance between culinary expertise and strong leadership capabilities, as duties may include supervising staff during shifts and ensuring a safe, hygienic, and efficient kitchen environment. You will be expected to carefully follow recipes, maintain portion control, and support the reduction of food waste through mindful preparation methods.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 to 4 years of relevant culinary experience preferred
- Open availability to work varying shifts including days and hours
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
- Read and follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing various food items
- Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
- Support management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during normal business
- Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
