At the Korean Air Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Sodexo is seeking a dedicated and skilled Airport Lounge Lead Cook to join their team. This full-time role offers an hourly wage of $29, with varying shifts that include days, hours, and rotating weekends, providing flexibility to accommodate different schedules. Bilingual fluency in Korean and English is considered a valuable asset for this position.
As an Airport Lounge Lead Cook with Sodexo, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the customer experience by preparing and presenting nutritious, high-quality dishes across multiple meal periods such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. Your responsibilities will include accurate and efficient preparation, portioning, cooking, and presentation of both hot and cold food items. - 3-4 years of related kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Ability to follow food safety standards
- Strong communication skills
- Bilingual Korean/English is preferred but not required

- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods
- Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
- Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
- Support management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during normal business
- Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Reduce food waste and uphold food safety and hygiene standards
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
