The Airport Lounge Lead Cook position at Sodexo offers an exciting opportunity to join their team at the Airport Dimensions-Sapphire Lounge by The Club. This is a full-time role with an afternoon/evening shift schedule that varies depending on operational needs. The pay rate for this role is $23.50 per hour, reflecting the importance of the culinary skills and leadership responsibilities demanded by the position. As the Lead Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and creating nutritious, high-quality dishes in a fast-paced airport lounge environment, ensuring that every guest receives excellent customer service with a warm and friendly demeanor.

Your role as a Lead Cook includes not only the efficient preparation of hot and cold food items across multiple meal periods such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events but also leading kitchen operations during your shift by supporting management and overseeing other kitchen staff. You will manage food waste with an emphasis on sustainability and maintain a safe, clean working environment that meets hygiene and regulatory standards. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of culinary experience
  • Ability to work afternoon/evening shifts on varying days

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods
  • Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
  • Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
  • Support management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
  • Manage food waste to promote sustainability
