The Airport Lounge Cook role at Sodexo, specifically for the Airport Dimensions-Sapphire Lounge by The Club, offers a full-time position with a competitive pay rate of $22 per hour. Operating within a fast-paced airport lounge environment, the cook is responsible for preparing and presenting both hot and cold meals across all service periods and special events. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0 to 2 years of related work experience preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must be punctual and show up for scheduled shifts
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 2 years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Good working knowledge of food preparation
  • Requires familiarity with kitchen equipment
  • Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised

Job Duties

  • Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided
  • Follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs for consumption in eating establishments
  • Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • Support kitchen teamwork by communicating effectively with other staff
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards rigorously
  • Other duties may be assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
