The position of Airport Agent - Ramp offers an exciting opportunity to work in a physically demanding yet rewarding role within the airline ground operations sector. Paid at an hourly rate of $14.75, this role requires individuals to handle various ramp duties, including baggage handling, cargo operations, aircraft servicing, and ground equipment operation. The Airport Agent will be responsible for loading and unloading baggage weighing up to 70 pounds consistently throughout their shift, often managing over 100 items for a single aircraft. This hands-on position involves pushing and pulling loaded and empty carts, ascending and descending jet-way stairs with baggage, and moving cargo within tight spaces inside aircraft.

In addition to physical tasks, employees will operate ground vehicles such as tugs for pushing and pulling planes at gates, belt loaders for luggage handling, and bag carts for baggage delivery. The job also entails cleaning aircraft interiors and servicing lavatories to ensure the aircraft is ready for the next flight. A critical aspect of this role is the ability to read and interpret load sheets, baggage tags, and cargo labels accurately to facilitate efficient and safe operations. Communication is essential; agents will use radio electronic devices to coordinate with co-workers and flight crews.
