Within Sodexo's Airline Lounge Segment, the company is excited to offer an opportunity for a seasoned Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager to join the elite team managing the Alaska Airlines Lounge located at the Harvey Milk International Airport in San Francisco, California. This role offers a full-time, hourly position with excellent quality of life benefits, including benefits from day one and three weeks of paid vacation to start. The successful candidate will be a hands-on culinary professional, ready to embrace the challenges of creating high-end food experiences tailored specifically for discerning travelers who expect nothing but the best in quality and presentation.

The Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager will be entrusted with operating a thoughtfully designed travel oasis and delivering an upscale culinary experience through an eclectic menu. The role demands previous experience in upscale food production, alongside a strong background in high-volume catering and events execution. The individual will be responsible for overseeing purchasing, ensuring menu compliance, managing inventory and food cost analysis, and forecasting food production accurately. This position requires adherence to Sodexo culinary standards, including recipe compliance and maintaining exceptional food quality.

In addition to culinary expertise, the role emphasizes leadership and team motivation. The ideal candidate will possess the ability and willingness to develop their team, ensuring that all culinary policies and procedures are embraced fully. Maintaining stringent food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards is paramount. The role also requires a working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems to streamline operations and ensure efficiency.

This position involves passing a TSA background check and obtaining an airport badge, reinforcing the security protocols necessary for airport-based roles.
