The Airline Lounge Segment of Sodexo presents an exceptional opportunity for a qualified Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager to join their elite team at the Alaska Airlines Lounge located at LAX International Airport in Los Angeles, CA. This role requires a hands-on leader who brings a strong culinary background, particularly within upscale dining and high-volume catering environments. The position is full-time and hourly, with promising career growth opportunities. The Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen management and food production to create and deliver a refined and upscale dining experience within the lounge. This role demands expertise in menu development, procurement, inventory control, food cost analysis, and forecasting food production needs. The successful candidate will ensure strict adherence to Sodexo culinary standards, including recipe compliance and food quality, while enforcing food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols. Job Requirements
- minimum education requirement - high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years of kitchen manager or sous chef level management experience
- ability to pass TSA background check and obtain airport badge
- ServSafe certification
