The Airline Lounge Segment of Sodexo presents an exceptional opportunity for a qualified Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager to join their elite team at the Alaska Airlines Lounge located at LAX International Airport in Los Angeles, CA. This role requires a hands-on leader who brings a strong culinary background, particularly within upscale dining and high-volume catering environments. The position is full-time and hourly, with promising career growth opportunities. Applicants must be able to pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check and obtain the required airport badge to work within the secure airport environment.

The Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen management and food production to create and deliver a refined and upscale dining experience within the lounge. This role demands expertise in menu development, procurement, inventory control, food cost analysis, and forecasting food production needs. The successful candidate will ensure strict adherence to Sodexo culinary standards, including recipe compliance and food quality, while enforcing food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols. Strong leadership is crucial, as this role involves motivating and coaching the kitchen team to maintain excellence and embrace company policies and procedures.

In addition to day-to-day operational duties, the sous chef will work with automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems, demonstrating proficiency with modern kitchen technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Job Requirements

Job Duties
