This particular opportunity is for the role of Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager at the prestigious American Express Centurion Lounge located in Denver International Airport, Denver, CO. This role is a cornerstone in delivering a culinary-driven, fine-dining level experience within a thoughtfully designed travel oasis. The Sous Chef will be directly responsible for the day-to-day management of kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory, cost control, and quality assurance in a high-volume, scratch kitchen environment. Candidates with upscale culinary experience, especially those familiar with hotel or restaurant operations, will find this role fulfilling and challenging.

As a hands-on chef, the successful candidate will collaborate with the culinary team to maintain compliance with Sodexo’s high culinary standards, develop menu items, and innovate within the scope of food trends and guest expectations. You will be expected to motivate and develop the kitchen team, ensuring a workplace culture that values culinary excellence, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year management experience
  • ability to work all shifts including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
