Sodexo Live!'s Airport Lounge Segment is seeking a talented and dedicated Food and Beverage Operations Manager to join their team at the Gameway Lounge located in the MSP International Airport in Minneapolis, MN. This role is pivotal in managing all aspects of the food and beverage program, including supervising food preparation staff, cooks, bartenders, and food attendants. As the Food and Beverage Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the club's and lounge's operations run smoothly, maintaining high culinary standards, managing inventory and product ordering, overseeing bar programs and training, and conducting thorough financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in culinary training, staff management, and service monitoring to uphold both Sodexo's and the airline client's high standards for service quality. With oversight responsibilities spanning front of house, bar, and back of house operations, the manager must demonstrate strong communication, flexibility, and adaptability to excel in a fast-paced, frequently changing airport environment. Applicants with robust bartending backgrounds or bar management experience are highly preferred as the role demands a deep understanding of beverage program operations.

Job Requirements

  • have 2-3 years previous food, beverage and culinary experience within hotels, restaurants or similar upscale hospitality venue
  • have oversight of daily food operations and deliver a high-quality product
  • a proven background in bartending and/or bar management
  • proficient with microsoft office suite of programs including word, excel
  • associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years management experience
  • 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Job Duties

  • establishes a safe work environment
  • utilizes sodexo tools and programs to develop client, customer, and staff relationships, to ensure account retention
  • implements and fully utilizes all sodexo tools and programs to ensure financial outcomes
  • directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources, ensures operating standards and regulatory requirements are met
  • develops and implements plans, projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support client and sodexo strategic plan
  • ensures adherence to all hr standards for sodexo, client, and regulatory agencies
  • provide the highest quality of service
  • taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records in order to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment
  • comply with all company safety, risk management, and haccp policies and procedures
