Job Description

Sodexo is a global leader in providing integrated food services and facilities management, striving to enhance the quality of life for individuals and communities worldwide. With a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and sustainable progress, Sodexo partners with numerous clients across various industries to deliver exceptional customer experiences through its wide-ranging services. The company’s presence in the airline lounge segment exemplifies its dedication to creating premium, memorable experiences for travelers at prestigious locations.

The Executive Chef position within Sodexo’s Airline Lounge Segment offers an exciting opportunity to join the elite team managing the Alaska Airlines Lounges at SeaTac International Airport in Seattle, WA. This role is ideal for a seasoned culinary professional who thrives in high-volume, upscale environments and is passionate about delivering culinary excellence within a thoughtfully designed travel oasis. The Executive Chef will be instrumental in designing and executing an eclectic menu that reflects innovation and quality, ensuring guests experience a sophisticated and culinary-driven atmosphere.

This hands-on chef role demands a leader who has substantial experience managing upscale food production, preferably with a strong background in hotels, restaurants, or catering. The candidate should be well-versed in high-volume culinary operations and skilled in overseeing the end-to-end aspects of food service—from menu compliance and purchasing to inventory management and food cost analysis. The position requires a deep commitment to maintaining food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards, alongside the ability to motivate and lead a dynamic team toward continual culinary innovation and excellence.

In this role, the Executive Chef will hold key responsibilities including purchasing and inventory control, food production forecasting, and ensuring strict adherence to Sodexo’s culinary standards and recipes. The role also encompasses the development and mentoring of team members, fostering a collaborative and high-energy kitchen environment. Proficiency with automated inventory and management systems is essential to streamline operations and maintain cost efficiency.

Sodexo offers a competitive compensation package where salary is commensurate with the candidate’s education, experience, skills, and training. Beyond compensation, employees gain access to a robust benefits program including medical, dental, and vision care, wellness initiatives, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, paid time off, company holidays, and opportunities for career advancement and tuition reimbursement. The company prioritizes a supportive workplace environment that values fairness, respect, and individuality, underscoring its commitment to equal employment opportunities.

Joining Sodexo as an Executive Chef at the Alaska Airlines Lounges not only means becoming part of a globally respected company but also contributing to a mission to enhance everyday life through exceptional service and culinary innovation. This role is perfect for culinary leaders eager to make a significant impact in the airline hospitality sector while working within a forward-thinking and inclusive organization that celebrates diverse perspectives and fosters professional growth.
