One of its distinguished operations is the private Korean Airlines Lounge located at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in Los Angeles, California. The Assistant General Manager role at the Korean Airlines Lounge at LAX is a full-time position responsible for leading and overseeing the food and beverage operations within this exclusive lounge. The Lounge is designed as a dedicated sanctuary for elite passengers to relax, rejuvenate, and enjoy a curated buffet and self-service beverage program. This role demands a hospitality-focused leader who can deliver memorable dining and guest service experiences, ensuring the front-of-house operations run smoothly and maintain Sodexo’s high standards.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a seasoned professional with experience managing food and beverage operations in airports, hotels, restaurants, or other high-end venues. Leadership, guest service excellence, and financial acumen are critical to success in this position. A preferred qualification includes fluency in the Korean language, facilitating effective communication with the client and customers. The Assistant General Manager will have the responsibility to motivate, coach, and mentor frontline employees, uphold compliance with Sodexo standards, and support achievement of financial targets.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum education requirement - associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum management experience - 2 years
  • Minimum functional experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc
  • Ability to pass a TSA background check
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all organization levels
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate professional communication skills
  • Passion for a high level of customer service
  • Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities
  • Korean language proficiency preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years experience as a manager with a recognized concept or company
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with all organizational levels
  • Experience in financial preparation and oversight
  • Working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs
  • Korean language proficiency preferred
