The role of Aircraft Maintenance Technician II A&P in the Gulfstream Appleton facility is a pivotal position within the company’s service center operations. This full-time role requires a skilled and experienced individual to perform a variety of technical functions related to aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components. The technician will be responsible for ensuring that aircraft mechanical systems and components are in optimal condition and meet stringent safety and quality standards. This position involves working hands-on with avionics, electrical, and mechanical systems to troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and conduct routine and non-routine maintenance. A successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, flexibility, and an eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
Key aspects of this role include coordinating with inspection teams to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and internal quality control standards, accurately completing work orders and documentation, and following standard operating procedures to maintain a safe workplace. The technician will also be involved in operating and overseeing the use of ground support and special support equipment necessary for aircraft maintenance tasks. Additional responsibilities include applying 6S and Lean initiatives to enhance workplace organization and efficiency, safely handling customer property and aircraft components, and collaborating with other departments for the timely repair and overhaul of aircraft parts. The position requires up to 25% travel and offers a shift schedule in the first shift with full-time employment status.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical)
- A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems
- Knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials (maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, ADS, etc.)

Job Duties
- Perform required maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems
- Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and functional components of the aircraft including airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical components, and control systems
- Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements
- Properly complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork in a timely manner
- Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications
- Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment
- Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely
- Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment
- Operate and oversee use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components
- Coordinate with other departments to arrange for the overhaul or repair of customer property as needed
- Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean
- Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment
- Coordinate movement of aircraft, as required
- Maintain knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
