The position of Aircraft Maintenance Technician 4 - A&P at Gulfstream’s Van Nuys facility is a full-time role offering a competitive hourly wage ranging from $43.62 to $50.89. Final compensation will be influenced by factors such as qualifications, experience, skills, and location. The Aircraft Maintenance Technician 4 - A&P position requires an individual with a high degree of technical skill and precision. Candidates must possess an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license and demonstrate at least six years of aviation maintenance experience with expertise in avionics, electrical, or mechanical systems. The role involves performing a range of maintenance, repair, and modification tasks on aircraft mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation. This includes troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical systems, and control mechanisms.

Responsibility for compliance with FAA regulations and internal quality standards is paramount, requiring coordination with inspection teams to ensure all maintenance work meets rigorous standards. The role demands meticulous documentation, including timely completion of work order sign-offs and shift turnovers. In addition to direct maintenance tasks, the technician will be expected to operate ground support and special equipment safely and efficiently, manage customer property and aircraft components responsibly, and maintain a clean and organized work environment by applying 6S and Lean initiatives.

Further, the position involves cross-departmental coordination for overhaul or repair of customer property and demands an advanced knowledge of FAA regulations, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical reference materials. Proficiency in English communication is essential, as is a valid driver’s license. The job may require up to 25% travel and will have multiple shift assignments to provide flexibility and cover operational needs.
