The Aircraft Maintenance Technician 4 - A&P position based in Gulfstream's GAC facility in St. Louis is a full-time role aligned with the Second Shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM. This role offers competitive base compensation ranging from $39.83 to $46.47 per hour, with final pay determined by qualifications, experience, skills, and location. The core responsibility of this position is to execute various technical functions involving aircraft maintenance, including repair, replacement, and modification of critical aircraft components, ensuring their proper operation and safety. The ideal candidate will have preferred large cabin business jet experience and FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) licensure, underpinning expertise in mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems.

The role demands precise troubleshooting and repair skills, maintaining the functionality and compliance of aircraft systems. Duties entail performing routine maintenance, repairs, installation, and diagnosing problems with mechanical aircraft systems such as airframes, engine components, landing gear, and control systems. A strong collaboration with inspection teams to guarantee adherence to FAA and internal standards is vital for maintaining the highest levels of safety, quality, and documentation. This position also requires managing customer property with care, ensuring secure storage and proper tagging. A&A maintenance professionals at Gulfstream are expected to abide by company policies, safety standards, and standard operating procedures, operating ground support equipment and specialized tools effectively.

Additional responsibilities include applying Lean and 6S initiatives to keep hangar and workshop environments organized and efficient, coordinating aircraft movements, and maintaining extensive knowledge of FAA regulations, company policies, repair station manuals, and maintenance procedures. Job Requirements

  • six years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical)
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required
  • valid driver’s license required

Job Duties

  • perform required maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems
  • repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and functional components of the aircraft including airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical components, and control systems
  • coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements
  • properly complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork in a timely manner
  • ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications
  • properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment
  • store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely
  • follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment
  • operate and oversee use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components
  • coordinate with other departments to arrange for the overhaul or repair of customer property as needed
  • apply 6S and Lean initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean
  • properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment
  • coordinate movement of aircraft, as required
  • maintain advanced knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures
  • perform other duties as assigned
