Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
  • Stable employment history
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Possession of required tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to pass FAA 10-year work history review
  • Pass criminal background and fingerprint checks
  • Willingness to submit to FAA and company drug and alcohol tests
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Ability to apply instructions and troubleshoot problems
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, lift heavy weights
  • Ability to wear respirator and protective equipment
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
  • Previous experience as an A and P mechanic or airline experience
  • Experience using a computer for information lookup and data entry
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Strong communication skills to speak effectively before groups
  • Ability to make decisions based on established precedents and policies

Job Duties

  • Performs preventive maintenance, repair, modifications and other maintenance of aircraft and components
  • Troubleshoots all aircraft systems
  • Executes maintenance work orders
  • Uses tools, equipment and test apparatus necessary for maintenance
  • Verifies materials and parts are serviceable and effective for the aircraft
  • Maintains a clean, safe working environment
  • Completes maintenance records and company forms
  • Provides coaching and on-the-job training
  • Participates in shift meetings and briefings
  • Submits suggestions for operational improvements
  • Adheres to training and ensures certification compliance
  • Performs other duties as assigned
