Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking skilled Aircraft Production Test Electrical and Test Heavy Assemblers at Level B or Level C to join its North Charleston, South Carolina production system. This opportunity offers a dynamic and engaging role within the 787 production environment, where employees will work on advanced airplane assembly operations. The role is full-time and requires variable shift work (first, second, or third shift), reflecting Boeing’s commitment to flexible scheduling based on business needs. The salary range for Level B positions is approximately $54,000 to $64,000 annually, while Level C positions offer between $61,200 to $64,500 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

The role of an Aircraft Production Test Electrical & Test Heavy Assembler involves interpreting complex drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications to identify work areas, parts, tooling, and to ensure defect-free assembly. The position is physically demanding and requires attention to detail in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and protective gear. Employees will also be responsible for performing functional testing of aircraft electrical systems, troubleshooting faults, and completing detailed documentation to ensure compliance with production and regulatory standards.

Successful candidates will have experience working in manufacturing, technical, or mechanical fields, including electrical assembly and avionics systems troubleshooting. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • 1+ years of experience using software applications such as internet navigation, email, and Microsoft Office
  • 1+ years of experience following detailed work instructions and interpreting blueprints and specifications
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, technical, or mechanical fields
  • 1+ years of electrical assembly and electronic materials experience
  • 1+ years of avionics systems troubleshooting and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting
  • ability to complete and maintain required certifications
