Job Duties

  • Supervise a team of import and export agents to ensure timely customs clearance and transport of shipments
  • Ability to build and foster a dynamic team culture aligned with company values
  • Delegate work, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing situations to assign work procedures
  • Solve problems that may arise with customer shipments
  • Oversee billing processes, coordinate collections and resolve major billing problems
  • Maintain up-to-date customer profiles and rate structures, support sales team with customer information and rates
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with shipping companies and suppliers to optimize costs
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on customs procedures, documentation requirements, and trade compliance
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to increase operational efficiency and reduce errors
  • Other duties as assigned
