The Executive Chef role at Aimbridge Hospitality embodies the commitment to quality and professionalism that defines the company. This position is responsible for supervising and assisting in the preparation of all food items across multiple outlets including the Restaurant, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria, and Banquets. The Executive Chef ensures that every dish meets the highest standards of appeal and taste by adhering to standardized recipes and production guidelines. This role also encompasses maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety within the kitchen and storage areas, while actively managing waste to optimize cost and production efficiency. The Executive Chef plans meals and collaborates closely with the Food and Beverage Manager on key assignments such as pricing and banquet arrangements.
This position is exempt and carries the expectation that the Executive Chef will dedicate the necessary time to fulfill their responsibilities. The role also requires regular and customary supervision of at least three full-time associates or their equivalents. More than half of the job duties involve administrative, executive, or professional tasks requiring discretion and independent judgment. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain high standards
- Commitment to quality and excellence in food preparation
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as an executive chef or a similar leadership role in a hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen management
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to plan menus and manage food costs
- Familiarity with sanitation and safety standards
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
Job Duties
- Supervise and assist in food preparation for multiple outlets including Restaurant, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets
- Ensure highest standards of food quality and presentation based on standardized recipes
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and safety in kitchen, work and storage areas
