Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- ability to work weekends and night shifts
- must be physically capable of performing cleaning duties
- dependable and punctual
- ability to follow instructions and standard cleaning protocols
- commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary environment
- ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of infection control
- knowledge of hand hygiene
- knowledge of enhanced barrier precautions
- vacuuming carpet
- dusting and mopping
- must be dependable and thorough worker
- must be willing to work weekends and holidays
- must be able to perform the essential physical and mental requirements of the position
Job Duties
- Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods
- dusts surfaces
- empties wastebaskets
- damp-wipes clean all furniture
- vacuums carpets for cleaning and bacteria control
- cleans and polishes metal and porcelain fixtures in bathrooms
- dust mops and wet mops floors of rooms and offices
- spot cleans walls, windows and polishes metal surfaces
- replenishes room supplies
- cleans beds and performs checkout cleaning as assigned
- spot cleans carpets as assigned
- assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or on request
- maintains assigned equipment for cleanliness and have repairs made when needed
- observes and reports the need for repairs to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures
- in case of fire or other internal disaster or community disaster, performs duties as assigned
- completes supplied checklists daily for verification of completion of assigned duties
- performs other duties as assigned
