The Heart of House Lead position at Spinato's Pizzeria is a vital leadership role within our kitchen operations. This hands-on leader is responsible for setting the tone on every shift, ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently while continuously maintaining the high standards of food preparation and presentation that define the Spinato's Experience. The Heart of House Lead works closely with the Manager on Duty to oversee all kitchen activities, from prep work to line cooking and final food inspection before orders leave the kitchen. This role supports not only kitchen efficiency but also team harmony, contributing to a positive workplace environment where everyone is encouraged to excel.

Job Requirements

  • Current Food Handler Certification
  • previous kitchen or culinary leadership experience preferred
  • ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
  • strong attention to detail

  • ability to pass a drug test

Job Duties

  • Lead by example to consistently deliver high-quality food that meets Spinato's standards
  • support the Manager on Duty with kitchen operations and shift execution
  • assist with coordinating HOH positions including prep, pizza line, sauté, and expo
  • ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented according to recipes and standards
  • maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen
  • help train, coach, and support HOH team members during shifts
  • monitor ticket times and ensure efficient kitchen flow during high-volume periods
  • step in to assist with food preparation and line support during peak times
  • communicate effectively with FOH to ensure accurate and timely order execution
  • reinforce Spinato's policies, procedures, and food safety standards
  • promote a positive, respectful, and team-focused kitchen environment
