The Assistant Manager role at Tinsley Family Concessions is a full-time position offering a competitive salary ranging from $45,000 to $55,000 per year, depending on experience and job fit, along with the potential for bonuses. The Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring that the restaurant meets its sales targets, cost controls, employee retention goals, guest satisfaction standards, and compliance with cleanliness and sanitation requirements. This position demands a proactive leader who can train and motivate staff, handle financial activities including cash management and payroll, and uphold all company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities include maintaining a positive and productive working environment, overseeing food quality and service standards, managing inventory and supplies, and conducting staff evaluations and disciplinary actions when necessary. The Assistant Manager also plays a critical role in scheduling labor to optimize operational efficiency while controlling costs. Job Requirements

  • 3 years or more experience in management
  • Able to pass a federal background check (airport requirement)
  • Availability to work full-time
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Physical ability to participate in food preparation and cleaning tasks when necessary
  • Commitment to upholding health, safety, and labor regulations
  • Good problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in restaurant or food service management
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to train and motivate staff
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation and labor regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze operational problems and implement effective solutions
  • Proficiency in managing financial activities such as cash handling, payroll, and inventory control
  • Experience with scheduling and labor cost management

Job Duties

  • Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Tinsley Family Concessions
  • Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs are followed and completed on a timely basis
  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times
  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
  • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment
  • Compile and balance cash receipts at the end of the day or shift
