Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years old
  • One year of recent Class A or B professional driving experience within five years, or diploma from accredited driving school
  • No more than two convictions or two at-fault accidents within the last three years or a combination of one conviction and one at-fault accident
  • Valid TX Class A commercial driver’s license
  • Valid medical examiner’s card
  • Possession of hazmat and airbrake certifications
  • Ability to routinely lift 25 to 75 pounds and occasionally lift over 125 pounds with assistance
  • Proficiency in material safety data sheet comprehension
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime
  • Ability to maintain safety credentials for customer access

Job Qualifications

  • Hazmat and airbrake certifications
  • Minimum one year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five years or a diploma from an accredited driving school with one year of experience
  • Proficiency in navigating and comprehending material safety data sheets
  • Ability to routinely lift 25 to 75 pounds and occasionally lift over 125 pounds with assistance
  • Comfortable operating vehicles with hazardous cargo for extended periods
  • Ability to obtain and maintain collaborative safety credentials
  • Preferred proficiency in operating heavy machinery such as forklift or moffett

Job Duties

  • Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations
  • Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on load manifests and obtain customer signatures
  • Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them for refilling
  • Adhere to all Airgas safety standards and government regulations including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA
  • Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed
  • Support the team with occasional overtime as required
  • Maintain collaborative safety credentials for customer site access
