This role is for a Local Delivery Driver based in Austin, TX, at the N Lamar Blvd branch focused on filling industrial products. Airgas is currently seeking a qualified driver with a Class A Commercial Driver's License and Hazmat and Airbrake certifications to join their dedicated delivery team. This position offers a competitive pay of $28 per hour plus the potential for quarterly bonuses, with a Monday through Friday day shift schedule. The driver will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of compressed gas cylinders to a variety of customer sites while adhering to strict safety standards, including those mandated by DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA. Operating primarily from a company-provided straight or box truck, the driver will manage product flow logistics efficiently while cultivating strong, lasting relationships with customers.

Job Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid TX Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Valid Medical Examiner's Card
- Hazmat and Airbrake certifications
- Minimum one year of relevant professional driving experience within the last five years
- Clean driving record with no more than two convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last three years or a combination thereof
- Ability to lift heavy weights regularly
- Availability for occasional overtime
- Ability to obtain site access safety credentials
Job Qualifications
- Valid TX Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Valid Medical Examiner's Card
- Hazmat and Airbrake certifications
- Minimum one year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five years or Graduate from an accredited driving school with relevant experience
- Ability to routinely lift 25 to 75 lbs and occasionally up to greater than 125 lbs with handling equipment
- Proficiency in understanding material safety data sheets
- Ability to obtain and maintain collaborative safety credentials
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable operating vehicles carrying hazardous cargo for extended periods
Job Duties
- Safely load, deliver, and unload compressed gas cylinders to customer locations
- Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures
- Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them for refilling
- Adhere to all Airgas safety standards and government regulations including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA
- Provide warehouse and dock support as needed
- Build lasting relationships with customers through reliable service
- Operate company-provided straight or box truck in a safe and efficient manner
