Job Description
iCAMP is a leading educational organization dedicated to inspiring young minds through innovative STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) programs. Situated in the heart of the community, iCAMP offers dynamic in-person after school classes that engage children in hands-on learning experiences. These classes focus on a variety of stimulating topics such as Lego robotics, coding, circuitry, game design, and more. iCAMP is committed to fostering a supportive environment where students are encouraged to explore, create, and develop critical thinking skills that will serve them throughout their academic and professional lives. The institution values passionate educators who are enthusiastic about nurturing the intellectual growth of children and igniting a lifelong interest in STEAM disciplines.
The current opportunity at iCAMP is for part-time teachers and tutors who will lead in-person STEAM after school programs. Staff members are integral to the success of these classes, delivering structured lessons while maintaining an engaging and supportive classroom that accommodates diverse learning styles. This role offers a fantastic chance for individuals with experience in education or technology to deepen their teaching skills while making a meaningful impact on the community. iCAMP provides comprehensive training, lesson plans, and ongoing support to ensure instructors are well-prepared and confident in their roles. With pay ranging from $20 to $30 per hour and a commitment of 10 to 15 hours per week, this position is ideal for those looking to balance work with other responsibilities or passions. Instructors will benefit from a flexible schedule, professional development opportunities, and a positive work environment that includes access to refreshments and paid preparation time. This role requires reliable transportation and availability during after school hours, typically Monday through Friday from 2 to 6 pm, with some occasional weekend availability. Those who join iCAMP will not only advance their careers but will also receive a classroom management certificate, enhancing their professional credentials. The organization prioritizes candidates who have experience working with children in educational settings and are comfortable integrating technology into the learning process. Overall, this part-time teaching position at iCAMP represents an exciting opportunity for educators to contribute to the development of future innovators while growing their own expertise in the rapidly evolving field of STEAM education.
