The Aftercare Coordinator role at Divine Savior Academy is a crucial position within the after-school care program, dedicated to providing a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for students after the standard school day ends. Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Early childhood or elementary education coursework training or experience formal college education is preferred
Excellent communication skills including oral written and interpersonal
Ability to work proficiently in a diverse and multicultural setting
Capability to build strong relationships with students parents and families
Attention to detail
Exemplary Christian role model who lets his or her light shine
Ability to participate in physical activities with students
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds e g assisting with setting up activities or moving equipment
Ability to sit stand or walk for extended periods during the aftercare hours

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Assists the after-school care staff and paraeducators in the implementation of the after-school care program
Organizes children into groups for supervision and activities
Participates in after school care activities and is actively involved with the children
Supervises children in after school care ensuring a safe environment
Implements and follows the schedule of after school care activities
Tracks children signed into after school care
Ensures that all children who come to after school care are signed in
Ensures that children are released only to those that are authorized
Maintains careful records of the times that children are present in after school care and the caregiver that each child was released to
Builds strong relationships with students parents families and colleagues
Engages in appropriate and beneficial teacher-child interactions
Communicates regularly and effectively
Collaborates with other after school care staff in a positive and beneficial way
Contributes to team-building exercises with staff
