Job Description

KBR is a global engineering, construction, and services company committed to delivering mission-critical solutions across multiple sectors, including defense, energy, and government services. Renowned for its dedication to safety, quality, and operational excellence, KBR plays an essential role in supporting U.S. military operations and allied partners worldwide. Through innovative strategies and comprehensive service portfolios, KBR ensures the success and sustainability of base operations and critical infrastructure projects. Their work spans engineering support, facilities management, logistics, and specialized services tailored to complex environments and demanding operational conditions. With a strong emphasis on employee development and client collaboration, KBR fosters an environment where individuals can belong, connect, and grow professionally while contributing to globally significant missions.

Under the AFCAP V Program, KBR provides essential Dining Facility (DFAC) services to the 380th Expeditionary Force Support Squadron (EFSS) at Al Dhafra Air Base (ADAB). This includes the management and execution of full-scale food service operations, equipment maintenance, and rigorous sanitation standards to ensure the well-being and readiness of deployed personnel. The Site Manager role is pivotal for overseeing these dining services that support the 380th EFSS mission, ensuring that food preparation, meal service, facility maintenance, and safety protocols are maintained at the highest standards in alignment with AFCAP contract requirements, U.S. Air Force regulations, and host nation laws.

The DFAC Site Manager acts as the on-site authority responsible for the leadership and coordination of a diverse, multi-national workforce comprising U.S. Nationals (USN), Local Nationals (LN), and Other Contract Nationals (OCN). This role demands exceptional organizational and communication skills to manage daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, surge feeding, and special events, while maintaining a zero-harm workplace environment. The manager is empowered to direct all personnel and subcontractors, oversee government furnished property (GFP), monitor equipment maintenance timelines, and ensure adherence to food safety codes such as the Tri-Service Food Code.

This position is ideal for professionals with 7 to 10 years of experience managing high-volume food service operations, particularly in austere or deployed environments. Ideal candidates have demonstrated expertise in compliance management, inventory control, and quality assurance, with the ability to respond swiftly to operational deficiencies and rapidly changing mission requirements. They possess a strong knowledge of DFAC operations, equipment repair, sanitation, and safety standards integral to maintaining mission readiness and personnel health.

KBR values individuals who can lead by example, enforce safety and sanitation protocols, and develop effective training and performance programs for their teams. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package and supports career growth through continued professional development, making it an attractive employer for those dedicated to serving alongside the U.S. Air Force in vital support roles.
