The Food Service Supervisor role under the AFCAP V ADAB DFAC team is critical to the smooth and efficient operations of the dining facility at Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates. The supervisor manages frontline operations, including food preparation, serving, sanitation, and equipment maintenance, ensuring all activities align with AFCAP contract requirements, U.S. Air Force standards, and applicable health regulations. This position involves directly supervising shift personnel such as cooks, food service workers, and other support staff to maintain a safe, efficient, and high-quality meal service environment. The role demands a strong focus on food safety, sanitation, customer service, and equipment management in a fast-paced deployed setting that supports both steady-state operations and surge requirements. Employees in this role must not only have excellent leadership and organizational skills but also the capability to work with a multi-cultural workforce comprising U.S. military personnel, local nationals, and other contracted staff.

Job Requirements

- ability to obtain/maintain a secret clearance
- minimum 3-5 years of experience in food service operations or dining facility environments
- at least 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a food service or hospitality setting
- ability to supervise and manage multi-cultural workforce (usn ln ocn personnel)

Job Duties
- maintain a zero harm workplace enforcing all safety food safety and sanitation standards
- provide direct supervision of dfac staff during assigned shifts including cooks food service workers and support personnel
- execute daily meal service operations ensuring timely preparation serving and replenishment of food items
- ensure compliance with food safety standards including proper food handling storage temperature control and contamination prevention
- monitor and enforce sanitation and cleanliness standards across kitchen serving lines dining areas and storage spaces
- oversee serving line operations ensuring efficient customer flow and meeting required service throughput standards
- conduct pre- and post-meal inspections ensuring readiness prior to service and proper closeout after operations
