The current opportunity is for an experienced Assembler with at least one year of assembly experience in the aerospace sector. This role involves working in a dynamic production environment, collaborating with a skilled team to assemble critical aircraft components primarily composed of advanced composite materials. As an Assembler, your responsibilities will include working with specialized hand tools, adhesives, assembly jigs, and insulation materials, contributing directly to the structural integrity and safety performance of aerospace products. This is a temp-to-hire position located in Sumner, Washington, with a competitive pay range of $22.25 to $26.25 per hour. The work schedule is unique, Monday through Thursday from 4:30 pm to 3:00 pm, with frequent Friday overtime opportunities once trained and occasional Saturday shifts. Job Requirements
- At least one year of aerospace assembly experience
- Experience using hand and power tools including rivet guns and pneumatic/air tools
- Familiarity with air tools such as impact wrenches, ratchets, sanders, grinders, drills, and air hammers
- Ability to read, understand, and use a tape measure
- Willingness to work Monday through Thursday 4:30pm to 3:00pm with availability for overtime on Fridays and some Saturdays
- Ability to stand and perform manual tasks for extended periods
- Reliable transportation to Sumner, Washington
- Ability to follow safety policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of aerospace assembly experience
- Experience using hand and power tools including rivet guns and pneumatic/air tools
- Familiarity with air tools such as impact wrenches, ratchets, sanders, grinders, drills, and air hammers
- Ability to read, understand, and use a tape measure
- Proven ability to follow detailed job instructions and quality standards
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- Follow job traveler instructions to assemble parts using hand tools, adhesives, and assembly jigs
- Wrap insulation blankets using utility knives, foam insulation, and insulation tape
- Perform light sanding and abrading on composite, plastic, and some metal components
- Complete light riveting tasks using rivet squeezes and pop rivet guns
- Utilize pneumatic and air tools such as impact wrenches, ratchets, sanders, grinders, drills, and air hammers
- Read and interpret measurements accurately using tape measure
- Comply with safety protocols and maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace
