Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age to comply with Iowa Child Labor Laws
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday
  • Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders
  • Ability to safely use a step ladder
  • Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 40 pounds or more
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from scheduled shifts
  • Ability to comply with all uniform policies
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to positively engage with guests to promote sales and satisfaction
  • Previous experience with POS technology and PCI compliance a plus
  • Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work independently or in a team
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • No education required
  • Previous retail experience is helpful but not required
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
  • Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns positively and professionally
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to use POS technology
  • Ability to follow directions and multitask
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Welcome and greet all guests with a smile as they enter retail locations
  • Initiate conversations with guests and assist with any questions they may have regarding merchandise or souvenirs
  • Maintain a general knowledge of all available merchandise to assist guests
  • Promote current sales and promotions to prospective guests
  • Utilize sales techniques such as suggestive selling or upselling to increase revenue
  • Resolve guest concerns in a courteous and prompt manner
  • Operate all POS equipment accurately to finalize purchases
  • Ensure merchandise is well stocked, organized, and presentable
  • Keep retail locations clean and safe for guests
  • Refold or rehang clothing items as necessary
  • Assist managers and supervisors with inventory control
  • Process and return damaged merchandise per company policies
  • Operate mobile retail carts when applicable
  • Rotate food and beverage products according to health standards
  • Safely use step ladders to reach higher shelving
  • Monitor for possible theft and report concerns
  • Notify leadership when supplies are running low
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors
  • Perform all other duties assigned by leadership
