Job Description

Managed Mobile, Inc. is the market leader in commercial fleet maintenance operating primarily in California, Texas, and Nevada. The company is recognized for delivering exceptional maintenance services for commercial vehicles, with a strong commitment to developing highly skilled personnel, enhancing client satisfaction, and fostering a positive workplace environment. Managed Mobile places a core focus on progression opportunities, aiming to advance the careers of its employees while maintaining the highest standards of service and safety. The company has an excellent opportunity for motivated Mobile Technicians seeking career growth toward becoming Advanced Diesel Technicians. This role is rooted in ensuring that commercial fleet vehicles remain safe, compliant, and reliable through meticulous preventative maintenance practices. Managed Mobile’s commitment to quality, safety, and client focus defines its operations and company culture.

The Preventative Maintenance (PM) Technician role involves day-to-day responsibilities focused on performing scheduled preventative maintenance activities on various classes of diesel engines and fleet trailers. This is a client-facing position requiring direct interaction with a diverse range of customers and teams, emphasizing both technical expertise and communication skills. The PM Technician is accountable for conducting A-PM and B-PM inspections, DOT inspections, and performing in-depth repair work on Class 6 through Class 8 tractors and trailers, although overhaul work is not part of this role. The position demands working within strict safety protocols and timelines that align with the company’s standards and client expectations. Technicians will use advanced computer diagnostics and may perform minor repairs as needed, ensuring all fleet units are compliant with regulatory standards and operate reliably for commercial clients.

Managed Mobile offers flexible 8-12 hour shifts within a Monday through Friday schedule, typically encompassing about 50 hours per week. This full-time position not only provides competitive pay but also includes comprehensive benefits, such as medical, dental, vision, health insurance, paid vacation time based on tenure, and sick leave. Additionally, employees have access to a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching contributions, underscoring the company’s commitment to employee financial well-being and long-term stability.

To succeed as a Preventative Maintenance Technician at Managed Mobile, candidates must have over five years of experience as a Mobile Technician with a strong background in diesel repair and Department of Transportation (DOT) inspections. Knowledge of Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) out-of-service criteria, the ability to work in extreme weather conditions, and maintaining a good driving record through passing motor vehicle reports (MVR) are crucial. While experience in trailer repair and welding is advantageous, the position requires flexibility in scheduling start times and demands a proactive approach to maintaining fleet safety standards.

This role is designed for individuals who are committed to quality, safety, and ongoing professional development. Managed Mobile's work environment encourages growth and learning, providing excellent pathways for technicians to advance their skills and careers. Joining Managed Mobile means becoming part of a company that values its employees’ expertise and contributions, offers competitive compensation, and supports work-life balance through its shift scheduling and benefit programs. The Preventative Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in upholding the company's reputation as a top provider of commercial fleet maintenance services in the industry.
