Interim, Inc. is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to providing services and affordable housing solutions for individuals with mental illness in the Monterey County region. Focused on fostering productive and fulfilling lives, Interim, Inc. strives to create a supportive community environment where those affected can live, work, learn, and participate fully in society. The organization emphasizes mental health support, housing stability, and community integration, ensuring that clients receive compassionate care and services tailored to their unique needs. As part of its mission, Interim, Inc. offers various programs that assist individuals in securing and maintaining stable housing, overcoming barriers related to mental health, and accessing vital social services.
The Administrative Support Specialist position plays a crucial role within the Housing Navigation team at Interim, Inc. This role is designed to ensure that clients seamlessly access and sustain services through the Central California Alliance for Health (CCAH) and other related housing support initiatives. The Specialist acts as a key player in supporting the transition of clients to Housing Intervention (HI) programs administered by Monterey County Behavioral Health (MCBHB). With responsibilities spanning eligibility documentation, record keeping, data tracking, and direct client interaction, this role is integral to the continuity and efficiency of housing services offered by Interim. The Administrative Support Specialist collaborates closely with Housing Navigators, program leaders, and community partners to maintain compliance with program requirements, organize client files, and provide hands-on support to individuals experiencing housing insecurity.
This full-time position offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $27.74 to $39.78, with the opportunity for overtime compensation based on education and work experience. Working 40 hours per week, the role demands exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with electronic records systems. Beyond administrative duties, the Specialist may provide direct services such as housing plan development, individualized client meetings, and assistance with applying for housing benefits. Their work involves ensuring accurate and timely documentation of services, managing billing and reporting tasks, supporting audits, and enhancing program workflows to improve service delivery.
Overall, the Administrative Support Specialist contributes to the foundation of Interim’s commitment to community well-being by fostering housing stability for vulnerable populations. The role offers rich opportunities to engage in meaningful work that directly impacts individuals’ lives, supported by an environment that values professional development and offers comprehensive benefits for employees.
