Job Description

KNOW Women is a global media company dedicated to amplifying the voices of businesswomen worldwide through its various publications and vibrant community engagement. Founded with the mission to highlight the achievements and hard work of successful women in business, KNOW Women serves as a powerful platform that inspires the next generation of female leaders. The company operates at the intersection of media, community-building, and advocacy, connecting women entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals through its signature awards programs, events, and comprehensive media coverage. Its core belief is that when the accomplishments of women business leaders are celebrated and shared, it cultivates motivation and drives greater female representation across industries globally.

As a media company focusing exclusively on women in business, KNOW Women hosts several notable events such as the KNOW Awards, including the highly respected 100 Women to KNOW, KNOW 40 Under 40, and the KNOW Cares Grant Program. The company’s impact spans local and global markets, actively promoting women-run businesses and fostering a supportive network for career growth and business development. Through storytelling, events, and strategic partnerships, KNOW Women amplifies female voices and empowers women to thrive in their business endeavors.

The company is currently seeking an Administrative Event Coordinator to join its mission-driven team. This entry-level position offers a blend of administrative and event coordination responsibilities, ideal for a fast-paced, organized self-starter eager to grow within a values-driven organization. The person in this role will play an integral part in supporting KNOW Women’s operational and event activities, helping to maintain the company’s high standards of excellence and brand integrity.

The Administrative Event Coordinator will manage general office duties, including handling calls, calendar management, and email communications across various platforms. This role also involves coordinating interviews for key award programs, assisting with sponsorship and partnership communications, and managing inventory and facilities related to KNOW Women’s events. Beyond office administration, this position supports event logistics—from set up and takedown at local events to coordinating with vendors and planning travel for special mingling experiences like the Winner’s Circle and PLATED Dinner.

This role requires poise and professionalism, especially in interacting with high-level business owners and stakeholders. Candidates should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, familiarity with technology tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Documents, and Slack, as well as excellent time management and ability to work independently with some level of schedule flexibility. The Administrative Event Coordinator will also represent KNOW Women at external social functions and conferences, contributing to the company’s community presence.

The candidate is expected to bring resilience, coachability, and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure. Prior experience as an Executive Assistant is a plus but not mandatory, making this opportunity suitable for recent graduates or those looking to enter the nonprofit or media sector focused on female empowerment. Moderate travel is required to support events and regional functions.

KNOW Women emphasizes equal employment opportunity and values diversity and inclusiveness in its workplace environment. All employment decisions are made without discrimination based on race, color, creed, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, age, handicap, or religious belief. Joining KNOW Women means becoming part of a passionate team dedicated to elevating women leaders and making a meaningful difference in the professional landscape for women globally.
