The Administrative Assistant/Recruiter position at SSC Services for Education is a full-time role located primarily at 3601 Bryant Street, Little Rock, AR, with openings available at other locations within the school district. This role requires prior recruiting experience and offers a competitive hourly pay range of $16.00 to $19.00. The typical schedule is full-time with varied days between 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and flexible part-time options may also be considered based on scheduling needs.
In this role, you will be responsible for vital clerical and administrative support functions with a focus on recruitment and staffing needs. Duties include screening candidates and scheduling interviews to assist hiring managers, posting job openings, updating applicant databases, and utilizing SSC recruitment platforms to engage prospective employees. You will be a key point of contact, answering phones professionally and maintaining confidential personnel files. The role also involves preparing confidential employment and labor relations documents, assisting with staffing challenges such as short-notice employee absences, and maintaining positive collaborative relationships with coworkers, school personnel, administrators, and parents.

Job Duties
- Screen candidates and schedule interviews for hiring managers
- Post open positions for hiring managers upon request
- Update applicant database and hiring tracker throughout hiring process
- Provide sourcing and networking strategies to hiring managers
- Use various SSC recruitment platforms to connect with candidates
- Answer telephones and direct inquiries in a professional and client centric manner
- Maintain confidential personnel files
- Assist management staff in preparing confidential employment and labor relations documents, including proposed disciplinary notices
- Assist with staffing, including finding staff when employees call out on short notice
- Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, school personnel, administrators, student's parents and supervisor
- Attend in-service and/or safety meetings as required
- Maintain clean and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
